A year ago today this blog had its first post. A few other anniversaries also land in the month of October. This year marks my second year as a stay at home dad. Earlier this week was our seventh wedding anniversary. Well, technically we got married twice so we call it our anniversary "part two". I titled this blog as "My journey through fatherhood" it has definitely been a journey on many levels.

Aside from our anniversary "part two", October is always a month I  tend to dread. I start to get into a funk when September ends and it usually works itself out by the end of October. That's one of the reasons I kept away from posting, I didn't want many of the things I have been working through to bleed into this forum. I have also been more aggressively looking for some form of employment for the past few months. Constantly scrolling the job boards, sending out resumes, and coming to the realization that I have applied to over 2,500 jobs in a two year period didn't make the idea of staying in front of the computer any longer than necessary.

Despite trying to figure out my state and future being a father and husband has been my saving grace. I don't know where this upcoming year may lead. I do know I'll be adding to my white hairs of the top of my head. That was a little bit of an October surprise. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of sharing the little bits on this blog.

A proud transition from a tricycle.
